Thanksgiving! I broke my new 7d out while spending time with the fam during our pre-thanksgiving thanksgiving. Had fun experimenting, had to try it out at ISO 6400, just because I could. It did better than I think I expected. There is noise, but it's very fine. I haven't tried removing the noise yet, so I'm curious how that will work.
I'm impressed with the overall clarity, on the back of the LCD and in processing. The detail is great, the sharpness is great. The 28-135 lens I got with it is pretty nice compared to the glass I was using before. Initially I thought LiveView was stupid- Camera companies are giving into the people stepping up from the point-and-shoots and can't take the idea of looking through a viewfinder...but playing with it I found how cool it can be! You can zoom in on the LCD with LiveView before you take the picture, and check the focus and make sure it's as sharp as possible. Pretty cool for still life.
Next step is playing with it using my 430EX flash...that should be fun. Sunday I'll be working with my Alien Bees again to make some pictures for the AMPED Youth Leaders. I also haven't played with the HD Video on the 7d yet. Will do, though!
All for now, have a wonderful thanksgiving! More pictures to come, so keep up!
